At Locust Systems’ core lies a deep history of custom software development.
Locust Systems provides custom software design and web application development to meet the needs of its clients. There are several stages that are involved in delivering the right custom solution for each individual client.
Investigation and Strategy: In order to identify the current need and future scalability that may be required, we conduct several exploratory sessions that lead to one final strategy.
Evaluation: Second, we evaluate the system requirements for current functionality, integration into existing systems (if applicable) and scalability for any potential growth in business or advances in programming technologies.
Design: Drawing from the information gathered up to this point, we determine the inner workings of the application including the look and feel. Target audience is one of the key factors taken into consideration here. The deliverable is a prototype. We call it the ‘iterative design process’, where what you see is what you get [WYSIWYG].
The iterative process allows all team players to understand what the final project will look like – down to the forgotten password function. During this phase we work together, exchanging ideas until we arrive at the final design for the application.
Development: Now it’s time to roll up our sleeves and get to coding, which is what we LOVE to do. Typically more than one team is involved : designers, programmers and database developers are all lead by our seasoned project managers, where we take iterative and make it live.
Testing: It’s time for the quality assurance team, or ‘QA’ for short. We run test cases and try to punch holes in the application. We do it well. We test on all modern browsers, mobile devices and everything in between.
Delivery: Time to take the application live! We will attend to all the final details and deploy the application. QA is also done at this stage.
Maintenance and Support: At the final stage we work with the client to evaluate the maintenance that may be required to support the software or web application to best maximize the value of what has been created.
